Through the years, our college was guided by our Philosophy, Vision and Mission statements.

Philosophy

Iligan Medical Center College believes in quality education that empowers graduates to become holistic and productive citizens of the country by honing their skills and building positive attitudes and values for peace, cultural growth and sustainable economic development.

Vision

A private non-sectarian university producing holistic and productive graduates in various medical fields and other disciplines.

Mission

To provide a venue for high quality education to all its students in the southern part of the Philippines through the utilization of advanced technology and intensive instruction at par with international standards.

Goals

To attain its Vision and Mission, Iligan Medical Center College shall

 

  1. Actively support indigenous groups of Mindanao by providing them with quality education.
  2. Unconditionally provide students with equal opportunities by giving them access to state-of-the-art library, multimedia, information technology, laboratories and other learning opportunities.
  3. Nurture the proffesionalization of the teaching profession in the medical and non-medical courses by employing teachers who have excellent academic expertise and a passion for student development.
  4. Intensify the holistic development for students by providing venue for personal growth and development.
  5. Validate the institutionalization of a culture of research by strengthening research capabilities and by publishing researches in scholarly publications.
  6. Endeavor to strengthen community extension services through partnership programs and through income-generating projects.
  7. Revitalize accredited courses by preparing at least five (5) Board Courses for University status.
  8. Strengthen the General Education Program by complying with CHED standards.
  9. Increase the development of excellent skills in the medical, technological, and business fields by providing high technology learning environment.
  10. Try to strongly foster the scholarly activities of faculty, students and staff related to teaching, research and extension by sharing intellectual and specialized capabilities.
  11. Yearly improve the Performance Appraisal System by institutionalizing it as a basis for reward and competitive compensation.
